Using Mains Power and Extension Leads Safely
Important: Standard extension leads and power strips should only be used indoors or in a completely dry, properly sheltered location. Do not expose plugs, sockets, adapters or power strips to rain, dew, damp grass or condensation unless the equipment is specifically rated for outdoor use.
Keep all electrical connections raised off the ground, avoid overloading the power strip and fully unwind extension cables before use. Check that every telescope accessory is compatible with the correct voltage and power supply before connecting it.
