Hi, I’m Dave, and astronomy has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
My fascination with the night sky began when I was a child after my grandmother gave me a pair of binoculars for my birthday. I still remember looking up at the stars for the first time and realising just how vast and mysterious the universe really is.
As I got older, my interest in stargazing continued to grow. During my teenage years, I bought my first telescope, which opened up an entirely new world of observing. Seeing the Moon’s craters, Jupiter’s moons and Saturn’s rings with my own eyes completely changed the way I viewed the night sky.
Over the years, I joined local astronomy clubs, spent countless nights observing celestial events and gradually expanded my knowledge of telescopes, binoculars and astrophotography equipment.
In recent years, astrophotography has become another major part of my astronomy journey. Capturing images of the Moon, planets and deep sky objects has helped deepen both my appreciation and understanding of the cosmos.
This website was created to share that passion with others — especially beginners who are just starting their own astronomy journey.
Whether you are looking for your first telescope, learning how to identify constellations or simply wanting to understand the night sky better, my goal is to make astronomy more approachable and enjoyable for everyone.
Throughout this site, you’ll find beginner guides, telescope recommendations, stargazing tips and astronomy equipment reviews based on genuine enthusiasm and hands-on experience.
Astronomy is one of the most rewarding hobbies in the world because there is always something new to discover. Even after years of observing, I still feel the same excitement every time I look up at a clear night sky.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope this site helps you enjoy your own journey into astronomy.
Clear Skies!
— Dave
