Is your astronomy equipment insured? Telescopes, cameras, mounts and accessories can represent a considerable investment, so it is worth checking whether your home insurance provides adequate protection.

In particular, check whether your equipment is covered when taken away from home to an observing site, astronomy club or dark-sky location. Accidental damage, theft and individual item limits may require additional cover.
